When you select one of our Web site hosting plans, you're not just getting an address on the World Wide Web. You're getting one of the finest homes for your site on the Internet. That's because we're equipped with both the human and technical resources to keep your site up and running smoothly and securely 24 hours a day, every day.
GrafWeb can make a
home for your Web site on the Internet. Hosting a website is similar to
having a street address on the World Wide Web. Once you have an address,
your Web site can be viewed by virtually anyone browsing the World Wide
Web. Hosting a Web site involves registering a new Internet
"domain" name (or Internet address) for you as well as setting
up the space and access rights for you to build and maintain your Web
site at the GrafWeb Internet Operations Center.
When your account is
opened, you will be given access to your site via FTP (File Transfer
Protocol) or Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000. If you've never built a Web
site before, we suggest you sign up for one of our NT hosting plans,
since we provide complete FrontPage 2000 support. This means that you
can use FrontPage's friendly site-building wizards to easily create a
great looking site -- even if you have no computer experience at all.
We would be happy to personally answer any of your questions. You can reach us by phone weekdays from 9 a.m — 5 p.m., or email us, 24 hours a day, and we will promptly send you a reply.
If you chose FTP access, then you may upload your site once you receive your welcome message sent via e-mail 12-24 hours after your order was placed. You will not be able to actually see the Website you uploaded to GrafWeb until the InterNIC has finished registering or transferring your domain name.
If you chose FrontPage access, then you will need to wait to upload your Website until Network Solutions (or the registrar that has registered your domain name) has finished registering or transferring your domain name. Or you may order a Unique IP address to publish to while the domain name registration/transfer is being processed. Only then can you upload and see your Website at its new host, GrafWeb.com.
